Porsche expertice has handled this baby from start to finish and has done a fantastic job in turning this into a beautiful road going race car. The car is presently in the workshop for its first service since completion and the first thousand kilometers did not take long for the owner to clock up. But this was to be expected as it now leaves the traffic as little objects in the rear vision mirrors. You could almost call it a time warp. With the supercharger set up there is no lag in performance which is usually associated with turbo type powered cars which equates to snap acceleration as soon as the throttle is opened. The event will be based at the burswood casino and clover leaf out on three days covering area to the north and east of the city. The afternoon started of with the traditional sausage sizzle followed by theory and operation of varioram, variocam, variocam plus operation and systems diagnosis. Common faults and remedies were also discussed. Also discussed were gearbox problems and what warning signs to look out for when noises occur. A good dozen specially chosen participants spent a brisk cool winters day at the driving academy today. This venue will be a part of the rally stage so any advantage is a good advantage. These two rare cars seldom see the light of day with only 8,000 and 9,000 kilometres on the clocks and they put on a fine display on the track. The afternoon session went of without any dramas or incidents and usually participants are there to dusk, but cool conditions had everyone racing of home early. The next advanced driver training day is again booked for next month and people have already put their names down for this popular event. This car comes from the current carrera cup series that is running in the east at the moment. Michelin tyres it was a good first outing. Alfa wanting to break the lap record on this day. Epple for most of the race till an oil splill onto the track halted the cars first victory run. Stay tuned for further notices in the near future. Both the slalom and long circuit tracks were utilised today with some unusual cornering techniques being used. Wet and cold conditions meant that all participants were finding it hard to keep traction. A great day was had by all and the next training day is already booked. A sportscar is about to be restored to its former glory by the k-tec motorsport division. A engineering is a close copy of the porsche 962 built to conquer and win le-mans. Work will begin shortly on the engine and running gear and later this year the car will make a return to the track. Preparations and last minute set-ups are being made with dry and wet settings being implemented in case of bad weather. What are the chances of that happening again.
